Fleet managers looking for luxury vehicles to add to their car insurance policies may want to take a look at the Audi A3.

This particular model has just been named the BusinessCar Lower Medium Car of the Year for the fourth time since 2007.

Lead judge and BusinessCar editor Paul Barker said the car has once again proved itself to be the most desirable car in its sector, having combined efficiency with the appeal of the Audio brand to make a "very attractive proposition" for fleet managers.

Further up the luxury scale, the Audi R8 was named Sporting Car of the Year.

Iain Carmichael, head of fleet sales at Audi UK, said the double win is a strong start to the year for Audi.

"It shows the brand's strength at opposite ends of the business car spectrum. They are a genuine affirmation of the calibre of our model range and its competitiveness at all levels in the fleet sector," he said.
